The large stone building, formerly on a basement, covered with an iron abrupt hipped roof with an eight-window facade faces the northern line of buildings of Raboche-Krestyanskaya street.
The plastered and whitewashed facades of the old house under a wide lining cornice and a smooth frieze are represented nowadays only in the level of the upper floor.
The windows are framed with platbands with the profiled pediment on the consoles over them, the profiles of the subwindow shelves of the platbands lean on the corners.
"The building of city almshouse" in Yeniseisk is a historical and cultural monument; a monument of public life of the Russian province of the 19th century. The brick house and decorative frame of its window openings reproduce proportions and traditions of the Russian national wooden architecture. Along with a drugstore forms a complex of historical building of a "mountain" part of the town.
